Chapter Achievement Report

Many Chapters in the Southwestern District have strong programs and activities throughout the year like annual shows singing valentine programs guest nights and other fun activities that add the health and growth of the chapter.

This dual purpose Chapter Achievement Report will provide a means for the Southwestern District to reward chapters for the many activities that they plan and implement throughout the year.  This report will also serve as a guide to the many growth and fun activities that are available to all chapters.

REWARDS:

Chapters earn points for the activities they plan and implement.  At the end of each year there will be special awards and recognition for the chapters with the most points.  Each Chapter will know how their total annual activities compare to all other chapters regardless of membership size.  A "Multiplier Factor" will level the playing field by computing each chapter's year-end membership into the year-end membership of the largest chapter submitting an entry.

This recognition by the district is really only a small part of the rewards.  The real benefit comes to the chapters who can use these tools to grow membership have fun and make singing an experience in the lives of their members that they look forward to, participate frequently in, and just can't stay away from.  This is more than just a tally of chapter achievements, it is a checklist of things that have helped other chapters increase their membership, and made the barbershop experience more rewarding to all their members and their families.

CHAPTER GUIDE:

The list of activities in the Chapter Achievement Report will also serve as a guide to the many events and activities that a chapter could do to increase participation and enhance their growth and fun.  The SWD leadership team is prepared to assist any chapter in getting an activity started and then ongoing help in keeping the activity alive.  The Division Managing Director has a support team standing by and ready to help to assist a chapter to start and then maintain any or all of the activities listed in the report.

REPORTING:

Data from the Chapter Achievement Report will be collected quarterly.  Division Managing Directors will assist in the reporting process, which will later be placed online for easier reporting.
